23rd Annual WaveMasters Surf Contest 2006
The annual "Subaru of Jacksonville WaveMasters Surf Contest" is coming up quick! May 6 & 7, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida! As you may know, this is Florida’s largest open amateur surf event, and is featured in its own 30 minute TV show during the month of April. This year, on Friday night before the contest, at the oceanfront SeaWalk Pavilion, the city of Jax Beach will be showing "The Endless Summer" to an outdoor crowd of 5,000 people, with guest appearance by surf legend Robert August. As a sponsor, this will be another bonus to promote your name and product. Before the movie, there will be a surf festival, with booths, vendors, and other displays for sponsors and local surf industry businesses to promote their business, products, and services.
The WaveMasters Contest has over 300 competitors, pro and amatuer, male and female, in 18 divisions of shortboard and longboard. We raise thousands of dollars for youth and environmental causes with our beach raffle. More details will be forthcoming or reply to this e-mail with any inquiries.
