The 21st Annual
2004 WaveMasters Charity Surf Contest
May 1 & 2, 2004  Jacksonville Beach, Florida

The 2003 "Subaru of Jacksonville" 20th Annual WaveMasters Surf Contest enjoyed yet another huge success in all aspects. The weather, waves, crowd, competition, and all the activity on the beach resulted in a spectacular weekend of fun for the 200-plus competitors and thousands of spectators.

The annual WaveMasters Contest attracts hundreds of Florida's top surfers, as well as many semi-retired local competitors, all vying for tons of fantastic prizes, including a Grand Prize trip to Costa Rica from First Coast Travel. Trained judges, an abundance of media coverage, great sponsors, and ESA organizers all combine to make this Florida's premiere surf event.

The Beach Raffle is responsible for raising over $3000 towards our fund raising efforts. Over a dozen new surfboards, six skateboards, 2 dozen pairs of shades, a beach cruiser, and a multitude of surfing accessories make it look like a surf shop on the beach. All of this product exposure, combined with PA announcements, banners on the scaffold, TV, newspaper, radio, our 32 page full color event magazine, entry forms, posters, contest T-shirts, our web page and more, make this a promotional extravaganza for any company looking to boost their image in the Jacksonville market.

Surfing Magazine recently called Jacksonville the top producer of East Coast talent these days. The WaveMasters Contest has become the Showcase Event for not only North Florida, but the entire state as well.
